What’s Your Lie?
Whachoolie (wha-choo-lie) started with golf, but it means a whole lot more.
On the course, it can be as simple as asking, “What do you lie?” You stripe one down the middle, stick a par 3, or find yourself buried in a bunker — Whachoolie?
But it also became a way of asking something bigger:
How are you feeling? Where do you stand? What kind of day are you having?
Shoot your best round? You might lie a 10 out of 10.
Three-putt the last hole? Maybe not so much.
Great night with friends? Whachoolie?
Monday morning after that great night? Ask again.
Whachoolie is golf, good times, competition, confidence, and not taking yourself too seriously.
